How to stop worrying?

I have an exam on Thursday and I can't calm down, everyone around me is at the end of their tether with me. To make things worse someone I was dating has gone quiet on me so I'm getting paranoid about that. Not sure how I will make it to Thursday and stay sane.

How do you control your worries?

think of the exam that is it just a piece of paper that wont harm smile study and you will do good hopefully. always say whats the worst thing that might happen? not doing well? its not the end of the world either way . keep concentrated on the material of the exam and youll be fine im sure

Try and put any what if's out of your mind.

Do some mindful meditation this helps you to focus on whats happening now not about the what if's of tomorow.

There may be a perfectly innocent reason why you bf is quiet at the moment.

Ask him... it may be something you can help him with and distract you from your own thoughts and worries xx

Good luck .. stay positive

I have a serious over thinking problem so I write every crazy thought down and that some how makes me more calm like that I've vented out everything making worried and my head can be clear now

Just an update to let you know I did the exam this morning and passed! Now to relax and deal with the man issues!

I'm going to try this thanks for the suggestion. Just need to get the worries out of my head!

Thanks! I managed to stay focused and sit the exam and passed! As for the boyfriend well he didn't even message me good luck or ask how it went so it's not looking good really but at least exam is done with I can try and find out what's going on with him and any upset he might cause isn't going to effect me.

Dbt or cbt. Therapy for coping skills. Posiibly meds for ocd. You need to acquire skills to use to dissmantle the negative thoughts, what ifs are toxic for a person with an anxiety disorder.
