HSV-1 Complications

Hi, so about 2 weeks ago I was diagnosed with HSV-1 for the gential area. Prior to receiving this information I have only been sexually activate with two people. My ex who i was with sexually active with about over 4 years ago (we used protection). And my now current partner who i have been with over for over 2 years now and we have had unprotected sex. Between my old relationship and my new one i was celibate for 1 year as well. (Sorry for all of the details just want to provide as much insight as possible. Since I started having symptoms(which i believed to be a yeast infection) down there we did not have sex even prior to me finding out I had hsv-1. My current partner had gone to get tested twice for herpes and the results came back negative. Which would mean I have probably gotten this from my ex years ago and its been dormant in my body ever since. During the first week of my intial outbreak i was misdiagnosed which i believed caused my symptoms to be worse and extremely painful especially when urinating. It got so bad i had to relieve myself in the bath tub. Once i was able to seen my obgyn the beginning of the next week she tested me (which was also extremely painful) and told me that she was positive i had herpes and started me on Valacyclovir pills for 10 days taking them twice a day. Throughout that week I noticed after 3 days the area down there begin to heal faster and by the 7th/8th of taking the pills I was able to function normally for the most part and making bowel movements and peeing did not hurt. But one thing i did notice throughout the two weeks is the sharp pains i would get throughout my body but mostly in my legs, hips, arms, and feet. For about almost two weeks now I have been noticing sharp pains in the center/frontal part of my head that come and go everyday. I am done with the medication and it has helped tremedulously as the area is healed completely and I have no other symptoms except for the sharp pains in my body and the new pains I have been getting in my head. I have started taking viramin c and d pills to help stregthen my immune system. I also started taking migraine pills to see if that would help with the head pain but it does not work. Overall i am just really concerned with my health and I am nervous that i could be experiencing complications due to this being my first outbreak which has been quite severe. I am hoping for infomation that can be provided for me regarding this symptoms and what i can do to treat them. Any help is appreciated!
