Back story: Legitimate reason for concern over possible exposure 16 months ago. Two small blisters/marks on thigh that went after 3 days or so - mildly painful but I eventually (months later) brushed off as chaffing from tight running shorts that I had worn on a long run the night before the marks appeared.
In the intervening period I developed prostatitis - either from infection or stress - and experienced some redness in groin area. Had multiple PCR swabs. All negative. 6 months later took IgG - all very low scores (not in the questionable bracket) and still negative.
Late summer this year, 12 months on, I went for a light run (I now do very little of this because of prostatitis pain) and later that day developed a small spot on my penis. Size of a pinhead, no pain, no itchiness. Red base, white circular centre. It went in 1-2 days.
I’ve experienced this on 2 further occasions again, during the past 4-5 weeks and each time after exercise. The latest one appeared today - see photo below.
I realise I need to obtain a swab at a clinic and check for certain, but in the meantime thought I should seek advice. Again, it is the size of a pinhead (if that, though you should be able to zoom in clearly on the photograph). It doesn’t hurt, although since Ive noticed it I do feel a very mild/faint itch. Psychological, perhaps?
The spots have always been single and i expect this one to be gone in the next 24-36 hours (making testing quite difficult too).
Welcome any thoughts.
