I am due to have a THR op very soon - the info says to tell the staff about any skin infection. I have been treating what seems like athletes foot for about 3 weeks - it is small and annoying but the skin is still cracked. Is this something to be mentioned.
Dear Monica
I think you should be open with them. Perhaps it would be helpful to see your doctor to see if you can get rid of it before your pre op meeting.
Cheers Richard
Thank you for taking the time to get back to me. I am due to see the doctor today for further advice. I have unfortunately left it a little late - op is on Monday!!
Hi Monica,
Warm welcome to the hippies forum ...
You probably are back from your doctor's appointment _
Just wondering what you were told?
please let us know and also how you are getting on otherwise ...
big warm hug

Hello there Renee,
I was told by the doctor to absolutley tell the pre op team about the athletes foot. It is extremely mild/boderline case, but the GP was certain about his advice to let them know. The pre op team subsequently told me on the phone that a final decision will be taken once they assess first thing tomorrow morning.
Well best of luck, really hope your op goes ahead.
good morning Monica,
well, today is the day, darling and hopefully the surgery will be on ...
sending you love, light and healing - good luck and I am looking forward to your first post-op post =
we are here for you ... just surrender now and have faith -
big warm hug
renee
All the very best for your surgery today Monica. You will be fine!
Cheers Richard
