So last several months I've been battling severe anxiety almost weekly. I never catch a break. My OCD attaches to different worries constantly. As soon as I'm over one another one pops up. Like my mind never gives me peace
I had a health scare this week so of course my panic attacks were severe. Today I found out that my blood results were normal so I should be happy!! But guess what?? I started saying what if this xxxx obsession starts etc!!
I truly feel that my kind and body are shot. I'm constantly on an adrenaline rollercoaster.
I don't want to take more medal I take Zoloft. What else can I do?? I already exercise 5x per week and just started eating clean.
I'm disgusted
I don’t have any answers for you. But I just wanted to send you a hug and tell you that you are not alone. Please know that I am sending you calming healing thoughts❤️
Hi Jennifer,
I can relate to how you feel. I can tell you that it does get better, with time. I have been battling anxiety (health anxiety and depression) for almost 2 and a half years, but I have gotten to a point where I don't feel the constant worry. You said in your post that you feel like your mind never gives you peace and that was exactly how I felt every second of the day for almost a year. But I'm here to tell you, here to promise you that it does get better. When you start thinking about one of the things that worry you, try to immediately change your mind by saying something like, "wow, it's beautiful outside" and look out the window and focus on the trees, sky and whatever it is ourside... let yourself have thoughts about the colors of the leaves, clouds, etc.
I hope this helps, it really helped me.
Chrissy
I’m sorry my mind is the same way. My ocd constantly has to grab on to something and get a reaction out of me it’s like it searches for what it knows will affect me and hold tight. I’ve been having such derealization and anxieties it’s been awful. I hope and know it can get better because 4 years ago I tried Prozac and it was a 180 for me. Helped everything. How much are you taking of Zoloft?
Yeah the ocd is the worst because it makes the hypochondria worse if you are one, but honestly you have to just get through it somehow trust me I know when it’s hard and you feel like nobodies their but it’s really a self battle and it’s a getting to understand you more well if that makes sense, because it’s a battle inside your own head.
Hi Jennifer,
I've been dealing with it for about 50 years! I've had bad experiences with people in situations. I think the worse of all was being in the hospital about 20 years back for a few days for kidney stones. My anxiety was unbearable and the nurses treated me like hell. Anytime i have alot of extreme anxiety, my mind goes "there" again and i';m worried to death about even having to go into a hospital again. I understand you're fears and worries. I experience them daily still and have a fear and deep worry just about going outside my house into public. I could never tolerate any kind of medication my whole life because every one of them gave serious side effects before i even started.
But, i have been on Gabapentin, and now Lyrica about 5 months and they are very very helpful. No real side effects like the rest. But the problem is they wear off over time. Dr. doesn't agree too much with that, so i am only taking it when i really need it....situational. It's about the only thing that helps. When it is working, i am a completely different person.
