Day 1, post op...double stents...
Please tell me this gets better.
My doctor was nice enough to give me 8 stones that he removed from my right kidney.
I hate you kidney stones. I hate you stents.
The stents were awful for me, but instant relief once they were removed.
I had double stents as well for almost a full month. Miserable. Horrible. Painful. Prior to that I had one for around 10 weeks.
Some days aren't as bad as others. But it's not fun.
I hope you get to have them removed sooner than later.
I had stents in for 8 weeks after having 2 6cm stones removed , this time was different from the first time I had stones as the first time I got the stones removed & a stent in for a week can't really remember much pain , second time around 8 weeks my mental health took a massive dip I was unable to leave the house , I got a pregnancy pillow to help sleep and was in short tec & long etc painkillers , they removed the stents and the stones and it was instant relief . Stones & stents are worse than child birth surly this day in age there is an easier more human way of dealing with this .....I wish you well x
Anything you all did to make them more comfortable?
Girl I feel for you I had a stent 5 months ago worst pain ever! Heating pads and baths!! Oh and drink a lot of extra fluids it helps feel better when you pee! Speaking of kidney stones I'm passing one this morning and literally thought I was dying!! Cheers to oxycodone, tamusolin, and zofran. 😭 When do you get the stent removed? That parts a piece of cake a little pain afterwards for a few hours as the air bubbles come out and everything goes back to normal but after that you should feel brand new!
I actually felt worse when I had to pee. It burned and I bled. I got prescribed some painkillers. Make your doctor aware of the pain, because some people don't have any trouble. Heating pad, pain killers, rest. Sorry, I know it's no fun. I'd let your doctor know and get his advice. He may be able to help more.
Bleiben Sie bitte in Kontakt

Sounds like you will need stents. They are these horrific tubes that are temporary, but very uncomfortable (or I find them to be). Some people have no issues with them - not sure who those people are. Hope to have mine out next week. Good luck with your surgery!
Just want to update, had surgery #2 and they removed both stents only to give me...one internal stent and one removable stent. I removed the removable stent today and it was the BEST THING EVER!!
Surgery #3 is next week and hopefully I will be stone and stent free.
