I noticed a red swolen patch/bump about the size of a dime or so on the roof of my mouth in the middle where my palate is last night. when i woke up, it wasnt as red anymore but i noticed what looked like sores om the patch. im not sure what this is. unfortunately i do have hsv and have had outbreaks before but this does not look like the same thing. plus its swolen…i met someone once and she had a hole in the roof of her mouth where my swolen lump is. she said it was a palatal perforation. i am worried that that might be what the problem is. please help me with this as i do not have insurance so if i go to the ER they will just refer me to someone i cant afford. thanks.
