I have a small red open skin on foreskin, please let me know if I should be worried

Hi, I had an oral encounter (receiver) with a stranger (Aug 6), I was really nervous, so I went to the doctor the 3rd day, she said- chlamydia and gonorrhoea can be easily transmitted. however, syphilis being transmitted with oral is rare. I got tested for C and G and came negative. On Aug 26 (approx 3 weeks later), I submitted by blood sample for test for syphilis and other STI's. Syphilis was tested using RPR CMIA serology test and it came back negative on Aug 30. However, today, Aug 31, I see these small sores on my penis. I had sex with my wife only after all STDs came back negative, now I am really worried. Is it possible that I can be detected negative on Aug 26 but display chancres 7 days later?

These are really small and can be seen if you zoom. Please let me know if I should be worried or running for a test again? If so, when should I get tested? I really feel pathetic about myself..

syphilis can be detected in the blood 1 to 2 weeks after exposure if u havnt been tested for herpes i suggest u do so

the doc said, it is not anything to be worried about and if it does not go away after a week, visit again. it is caused by dry vag sex. thankfully it almost cured on its own. my Std anxiety however is not going away. what sti testing do you suggest i get and by what time. below are the tests conducted at 3 weeks all returned negative.. 1) hiv 2) syph 3) hep-a,b,c- immune to hep b 4) chlamydia and gonorrhea.

i received unprotected oral sex from csw

thank you for your prompt reply kim

the 12 week mark is probably a better time to get tested for most and 16 weeks for herpes after exposure things like hiv and blood std test can take a while for antibodies to be detected in the blood early tests can be unreliable

the chlamydia and gono should be ok

chances of hiv from receiving oral .. are they heavy?

its not common to get hiv from having oral sex im not saying its not possible anythings possible but the risk is low

its more commom threw anal and vaginal sex

waiting for hiv and syph results .. submitted blood sample for test after 4 weeks of exposure.. earlier 4th gen test came negative.. (p24 and antibodies not detected after 20 days) fingers crossed.. it seems the risk is almost non existent that the doc at sexual health clinic did not suggest a test for hiv ( oral sex receiver) doing this for my peace of mind. really. i will never ever cheat or even think of cheating if i get through with this..

good luck im sure the tests will come back ok

i am hopeful because syphilis can be detected within 1-2 weeks and i wanted to confirm.

and p24 peaks around 3 weeks. if the 4th gen test did not detect it by 3 weeks, there is good chance that it will stay the same by 4-5 weeks.

i am really scared..

all of them negative.. sigh of relief.. now that it is established that infection is not cause of my red penis, i should stop irritating it further with soap.

hiv, syph, hep, chlam, and gon.. negative.. hiv- no p24 or antibodies found.

Very good news that, happy for you.

dont use soap on the penis at all just use water

Hi Kim, I just spoke to the doctor.

His opinion was - I need not go for further testing since the exposure (receiving oral) was of negligible risk for HIV and very low risk for Syph..

He was saying even transmission of Syphilis is rare and since I tested negative at both 21 days and 32 days negative-I need not get tested again.. Same for HIV since they are 4th gen and same negative at 21 and 32 days.

Getting tested at 3 months is a part of guidelines.

ah thats good at least u know u havnt got anything

hi Kim. is there a chance that i can get rectal chlam / gon given the proximity to penis and anus? i have an anal fissure .. i am not sure if that can happen! i was tested negative for both at 2nd day and 21st day (urine sample)

most likley not
