I have been suffering with Barthoiln's Cyst for 2 years ...

I have been suffering with Barthoiln's Cyst for 2 years now. They are painful and very excrutiating. All of my doctors have informed me of the procedure of having the glands removed, however they don't like to do this kind of procedure because they say that it is very risky. My bartholins glands have become infected 8 times within the last year and my doctor is finally ready to proceed with the procedure. I would suggest all women to have the procedure the first time the cyst occures, because it will only get worse, trust me!

Hi I'm 20 now and I had my first infected ~Bartholins Cyst (size of a golf ball, limped when walking, emergency surgery etc) and it has come back for a 3rd time tonight. I can feel a hard pea sized ball. It has stopped me from having sex with my boyfriend due to when being turned on its like someone is sticking a pin into me down there.

Just wanted some advice....should I go to my Doctors next week (when they are open) and ask for it to be removed|? Have you had it removed yet, if so, what does it feel like?

I'm sorry you've had such a bad chronic experience, however a lot of women just have 1, including myself and I don't think women should run out after their first cyst and try to get their glands removed.

Please, if anyone has had this procedure done- please tell us about it! I have had bartholins cyst now off and on for TEN years now!!! I can't stand it anymore! I would rather have them removed then have to endure this pain ever again! When I was pregnant instead of a period- my bartholins glands swelled and I had them lanced at least 8 times that year! My docs say I get them from stress and that I probably got them more when I was pregnant due to hormones! When is enough - enough! They too say it is risky, but come on! there has to be something that can be done to stop these! The pain is unbearable! Giving birth to my son was a piece of cake compared to the pain from these damned things!

:shock::headhurts::ill::yikes:
