Best regards
For years I have problems with chronic prostatitis. One year ago, I was treated with gentamicin antibiotic injections for ten days, and six months ago I took 500 mg antibiotic levofloxacin for 28 days. Somehow I managed to cure myself. Since I had escherihia coli bacteria now the situation is different. I have an abacterical infection, so I have no bacteria in either the urine or ejaculate. I'm trying to drink lots of tea and natural prostate preparations, however, without success. For a few days I feel good, and then again bad. I feel cold and tremble, even though I do not have the temperature. It takes a long time and I do not know what to do. Does anyone have similar experiences? I am 57 years old.
I would be grateful for the answer, much to help me.
HI, have had bacterial prostatitis on and off for 10 years. I found a Uro in Tampa FL that did a semen and urine DNA test when all the other tests came back negative. Found a Staph bug in my semen and a gram neg AND a gram pos in my urine DNA test not found with normal culturs. The gram Neg bug was treated first with Levaquine for 28 days. Just did the DNA test and expect the results back tomorrow. I called the lab and the rapid screen is showing bacteria but not as strong as the first test. The DNA test will tell my doctor what antibiotic the bugs are resistant to and what should be used. The lab I used was micro-gen but their are others. My suggestion is to find a Uro who can send your urine off to a DNA testing lab. Find the bugs and treat them with the correct antibiotics. In my case, no one antibiotic would treat the two bugs I have, this may be the case with you. Also, one 28day course of Leviquine doesn’t mean you killed all of the bug, you may have just reduced it. No way of knowing unless you get retested using the new Next-Gen Sequencing technology. Fact- only 1% of the know bugs can be found using a growth bowl, this new technology is highly sensitive and will find them all. Good luck!
Thank you for your quick reply!
Michael
I am 44 and been dealing with flairups for 10 years. Penal pain, urithra pain, penal shrinkage and penal shrinkage. Heat and ice on my pelvic floor helps along with advil and hot baths. The urine dna was done by my doctor and covered under insurance. Was not frozen. The semen test was a normal culture growth test. I had three urine cultures that came back negative. I am finally feeling somewhat normal after 8 months. My prostate is still swollen but not as bad at 31. Left loab is still really tender but not the right. I don't know about BPH.
I have sent fresh semen in the lab. While I was taking an antibiotic for 28 days levofloxacin 500 mg I also took probiotic probalance twice a day. It did not bother me when I was urinating, but I had tremblings without a fever. Maybe you can try wild oregano oil 3 times a day (you can buy in herbal stores.)
