I have diverticulitis can I include Boost and Ensure in my liguid diet?

I am afraid I do not know any thing about liquid diets, i'm sorry.

I would not add them if I was on my 48 hour clesr liquids. After that I would probably try one and see how it goes. Some of the veterens might have other advice.

I drank ensure while I was on the liquid diet - help make sure I was getting the nutrients I needed.  I think they are fine.  My doc even told me I could drink them when preping for a colonoscopy as they are absorbed in the small intestine.  I did, and was fine with that, too.  Try one slowly just to be sure.

I stick to clear.  There is milk in both of those products.  If a person is lactose sensitive, both of these products will cause gas which is very painful, especially during a flareup.

Hello. 10 months ago I had a flare up and I'd lost about 20 lbs. Due to the pain, I was avoiding proteins and hard to digest foods, so my doctor recommended Ensure or other liquid protien.
