Hi. I know I keep stating threads as I'm clutching at straws. But my anxiety is now so bad I didn't bt know what to do. I'm on xanax which doesn't work and zopiclone night time. Which can actually help
I resorting too alcohol now
I in such a bad way the last thing I want is to take antidepressants that make you feel worse at first. Cannot cope with being any worse. I feel like such a whoos. And feel suicidal. As truies every therapy there is Hypno. Cranium sacral. Healers. And spiritual.
Im so scared of the world I'm in
Sorry I keep posting here
You can post all day if you want, no need to apologise.
I know it's so easy to drink alcohol to ease the symptoms, great at first but the cumulative effect is always going to be negative with worsening anxiety, depression and a gradual dependency. Keep an open mind in anti depressants, yes you hear of them making you feel worse at first but you never hear of those who don't get side effects, I've had no side effects from three different anti depressants and never experienced any withdrawal effects on any of them, it's entirely up to you of course but I think it's worth you giving them a try, perhaps an increase in Xanax for the first few weeks until the AD's start to kick in.
Please think about self medicating on alcohol, this is what is likely to be making you feel worse, go and see your GP to talk about getting a recovery plan together.

Totally agree with Aspinan. My anxiety was so severe years ago I resorted to alcohol to try and get through day, just wanted to relax and fall asleep, soon I had a major problem and couldn't get through day without alcohol. It's a depressant so I then had anxiety, depression 'if I didn't already ' and a problem with alcohol. Please ask gp for help if you need anti depressants or benzo to help you at moment discuss this with doctor. You sound so low but a lot of us have been there and there is a lot of help out there. Alcohol will add to your problems. Self medicating , I found out the hard way, don't feel alone, lots of people in or been in your situation, make that phone call and be brutally honest about what's going on and that you need help, always support here when you need someone who understands .❤️
Thanks guys. I always feel like I'm different to everyone else. When I was younger my parent were so strict on drugs and alcohol yet all my friends were doing it. I used to do and never took recreational drugs due to the fear brought on by my parents. But one day I was spiked and then it all went down hill. And now I associate recreational ones like AD. In a way.
I tried escitalopram last night and had cold sweats and bad anxiety. So terrible sleep again. So I just think what is the point. Can I take weeks of this. I'm already on the verge of having a real bad breakdown. Can I be taking this extra beating from AD?
My parents are of no help. They tell me side effects all in my head. And it does my head in to the point of hating them. What a shame. How an illness can bring about so much divide
Eu estava na mesma situação que você em relação a tomar remédios. Eu tinha medo de tomar algo que pudesse me fazer sentir pior quando eu achava que já estava no meu ponto mais baixo. Finalmente me decidi e tomei os remédios. Estou há apenas 2 semanas e ainda estou deixando que faça efeito no meu organismo. Não tive os problemas que temia e realmente me fez sentir muito melhor.
Boa sorte e cuide-se.
