i get chronic yeast infections around the time of my period. i ignored what i knew and thought to be the beginning of a yeast infection for a few days and i was going to the beach and having sex with my boyfriend while he was visiting and then the itching was unbearable and i would wake up to myself scratching in my sleep. I have taken two rounds of fluconazole and while it is less itchy it doesnt look much better than it did last week and now the red bumps are white ulcer/sore looking things. i dont know if that is part of the healing process or if i have genital herpes. I am going to get tested today but i want to know what people are thinking.
also i havent dealt with any pain at all just itchiness!! and my vagina is very red

if you had sex on a beach exposed to sand it can cause a severe irritation. let us know what your doctor says!
