Fui diagnosticado com gastrite, mas não faço nada que normalmente a causa. O que está acontecendo?

So a couple weeks ago I felt a burning in my abdomen that persisted for a few days. This, nausea, back pain, and a slight pain under my right ribs were my only symptoms. Having had a stomach ulcer in the past due to H. Pylori, I thought I should go to the doctor to get tested since my symptoms were similar. I tested negative. I'm a busy college student and don't have a primary care doctor so I just went to urgent care. The doctor didn't do any tests or thorough assessments. He told me I had gastritis and prescribed omeprazole. I've done enough research to know that I definitely do not want to take this drug due to it not actually treating the problem and the possibility of having to take it long term which causes all types of side effects. I took it for a couple weeks and my symptoms only got worse. I'm currently waiting for an appointment with a gastroenterologist and kind of freaking out a little. I am a 20 year old college student. I don't drink alcohol or coffee. I drink 72 oz of water a day and eat a very well balanced meal. I avoid sugar as much as possible, rarely eat fast food, and don't eat spicy foods. I don't take NSAIDs and I have a moderate stress level. So I guess I'm just confused how I got this. My best explanation is that since I've taken antibiotics at least 5 times a year for the past 4 years due to chronic UTIs and yeast infections (with no apparent cause) I have messed with the biome of my GI system and this could have caused an overgrowth of candida/bacteria in my gut. I'm just feeling kind of discouraged with the diagnosis and I'm scared that I'll have to follow a strict diet for years and years. My question is, has anyone had gastritis and the cause couldn't be identified? Or has anyone had gastritis caused by yeast/candidiasis? If so, how was it treated and did the symptoms go away with treatment?

Hello.
So I was diagnosed with gastritis/acid reflux as well about a month ago.
But it seemed different than all the previous times when I had acid reflux- and that really scared me. Also, my anxiety kind of got fuelled up because of that.
It got a bit better with OTC medications and almost went away for a week.
Then it returned again and was much worse and this further elevated my anxiety levels.
So I sometimes get heart palpitations too.
Do you ever experience heart palpitations or feel heated?
If so, it could be something gastric.
I’m not completely well either right now but I’m managing.

the treatment is with PPI medication. It works and there is no harm in taking it for a few months or longer. If inflammation lingers it can lead to stomach cancer and or esophageal cancer! So it is worth it to take it. I also seem to havegastritis with no obvious cause. Ido have celiac disease so may be autoimmune related or virus related…
