18 days post op, all sutures out, and today i went for a (very) short walk outside, for once hubby was faster than me!!! i have a benchmark bush where i knew i had to turn around so onwards and upwards - i live on a hill!

Well done . Keep up the good work . I am driving again . Bliss x Mary

well done!  I bet you felt brilliant to be back in the normal world. keep it up .... x

I,m nearly 4weeks post op and have just done my first "proper" walk of a mile.  Feel really proud of myself, if a bit light headed!  No crutches or stick needed.  Could not do any physio at all, just walking.  I may regret this tomorrow or maybe tonight!  You are doing really well for 18 days.  Go girl!!

awesome valerie!  today the temperature is finally above freezing and the ice on the driveway has melted..... so finally can take a walk outside!  just down the driveway and around the circle.... but doctor still wants me on two canes for a bit more (had double hip replacement along with ostepenia).... muscles feel good, just waiting on the okay that the bones are strong

Doubly well done, for the sutures and the walk outside plus well done to your husband for going out with you (so he could beat you?!) I loved the comment re onwards and upwards so was going home downwards and backwards (groan sorry!)......

Wishing you continued improvement

Very well done! MIC X

Well done Valerie. Keep going. Makes such a difference being able to get out, however briefly. I am 4 weeks post op and have walked every day since I came home increasing distance each day. Feels good x

I live on a hill too, luckily we are near the top, so found it easier to walk upwards first when I am fresher so it was coming down on the way back.  Good luck to you, you are doing well.

Yes slightt incline me too, sounds like you are progressing really well.  Good advice I was given was remember that however far you go you need to come back the same distance.  Take it steady, you are getting there.  Im 3 weeks post op this week.

true, that is what makes the circle nice,,,, just keep going around, once I get tired, just go back down the driveway
