Hi people, anyone else every had a numb bum come and go with Ibs? Had the usual things. Doctors seem to think it's nerve damage, but I'm not so sure! Had the usual checks, camera up! Bloods taken all came back clear!
Can you explain more about numbness? I have ibs type symptoms and have had numbness but it has a specific cause. Can you explain your symptoms a vit more?
It's feels more like a cold spot area on each cheek! It's really weird tho, hard to explain! I Thort it was my imagination at first but it's been on and off now for about two months. Did you get yours sorted?

Well Steve I am not a standard ibs sufferer. Ibs symptoms for me are caused by an auto immune disorder. Ibs symptoms common to most ai diseases.
I had numbness which would appear in different areas. One area would go then something else would start. I am in remission now after long treatment. Having said that just discovered I have h pylori infection in stomach. So maybe not in remission after all...well not completely anyway.
Some people get a burning sensation inside their stomach with IBS. However, I have not heard of numbness although everyone is different.
I get numbness in both arms because of nerve damage due to injuries. One was caused by an old, untreated fall and the other was a puncture injury from a botched blood test which was also not treated. It was looked at in a very cavalier manner by the Practice nurse when I complained about her incompetent colleague. She fobbed me off and laughed at me so I never went back because I was so upset and angry. I felt that I would probably only get the injury made worse.
