In September my igg blood work came back as 4.5 for hv2. They said it's no way to tell how long I've had it, but up until last November I was donating blood and plasma, wouldn't something like that show up? Unfortunately for me my fiance was murdered around Christmas so I have no way to know and my current partner tested negative.

They don't test for herpes at blood banks, because the virus isn't blood-borne as a general rule.
If I'm not wrong someone with herpes can still donate blood.
