I have one more pill to take from the 6 that I got. But labia on the top (like the edge not the outer nor the inner if that makes sense) still hurts which is where I had a sore and the one other spot I hate a sore still hurt. Now will they go away? I thought the medicine is what made them heel? I'm super confused because it only hurts to touch, when I urinate there is a slight tingle but NOTHING to what it was.
Now my question is how can I make my vagina basically feel normal again where I can actually touch it without hurting.
Ugh I'm so confused and still not fully accepting of it. I can't help but just cry and cry about it. Even harder when there's no one to talk to about it.
How will I know the medicine is actually working then?
I don't know if anyone else has this problem but I can't wear my underwear without a pad because where I have a sore my underwear gets stuck to it and I have to rip it off causing me so much pain is that it's opened it hurts to pee again
if so my doctor suggested when i have an outbreak to have 3 a day for 10 days, and on the 6th day of the medication they were gone! maybe get your doctor to prescribe more trust me xx
No I'm on Valacyclovir which I take 1 pill every 12 hours. I'm definitely going to talk to the doctor and see what she says. The sores are no longer extremely painful they are tolerable now until I feel like they are trying to heel and my underwear get stuck to them.
it's okay! my doctor is honeslty amazing with all the advise he gave me! the doctor that swobed me and told me the results told me to wait until i have an outbreak next because there was nothing i could do. i was in shock that i couldn't fix the sores now so i saw my family doctor and he said get on the straight away as soon as you notice a breakout take 3 a day for 10 days even if it's healed before the 10th day just to make sure!
I'm terrified to go to my family doctor. I went to another doctor where they swabbed my sores. I just want them gone already I had my first outbreak Friday the 28th and got tested the 31st. Ugh I know I've read and people have seen the first initial outbreak is the longest and the worst!
honestly don't be scared they are only there to help you!
i only had 2 small sores and that was my first outbreak. which apparently that's strange to have such little and small amount on the first outbreak. all i can say i got rid of my first outbreak in 6 days of taking valtrex for 3 times a day, i do hope that gives you some hope to try valtrex and even if your doctor says don't take it for 10 days or 3 a day (because the packet doesn't recommend it) do it !! my doctor said to do it and after seeing the results i'll do it everytime i have an outbreak.
i have also been taking a vitamin as well called Lysine 1000+ which as per those instructions you should take:
1 daily for prevention of an outbreak
1 tablet 3 times a day during an outbreak
these are usually for a cold sore but HSV2 is technically a cold sore just an different strand of it. so if you can get your hands on those too give them a try.
I wish I only had two sores, I have like three little ones in one spot another one further in my inner labia and on towards the bottom of my vagina. But the two bigger don't hurt it's the little ones because that's what keeps sticking to my underwear as if you cut yourself and it's trying to heel and sticks to your underwear.
my persription from the first doctor said take 2 a day for 3 days. my family doctor said taking it for that short period and it's your first outbreak it won't clear up fast so take it 3 times a day for 10 days every outbreak to get more of my valtrex in your system to prevent spreading and help healing faster.
Oh okay I understand now. I know my doctor won't judge me but she's been my doctor since I'm 17 I'm 25 now. I just feel embarassed havinf to tell someone this.
Maybe since it's only been three days since I got my results. My only way of not stressing about it is to not think about it right now till I have to pee. The worst part was I found out during work.
i'm 22 and my doctor has known me since birth and honestly he was so supportive! you might be surprised by what they say and how they react!
yeah i wouldn't let the doctor call me to tell me the results i wanted to be told in person but she may as well called me and told me because she gave me crap all information which made it even worse for me to cope which is why i saw my family doctor asap!
i strongly suggest getting onto valtrex itlll change your life hahah xx
