Hi everyone
My left hgip is ok just a few aches and strnge sensations but nothing to worry about I don't think. Will be 9 weeks post op on Tuesday. However since my right hip has collapswed and now my right knee is also playing up and both legs are very sore to the touch and brused because of the swelling I won't be about the forum much. It is too painful to sit at my PC any more. I will pop on when I can or as soon as I know when I will be going back in for my right hip to be sorted. I am on 2 x co codamol every 4 hours and 5 ml or oramorph every 2 hours just to be comfortable. I am miserable and really upset. So I hope those of you having your ops soon have a better time of it than I am.
dear Hailea I havent had mine done yet but I do from my heart know what it is like to have so much pain going on and the feeling Ive had enough

i wish I could wish it away as I hate suffering ive had the injection after 4 years 3 of which Ive even been sat on supermarket floors to get through the moment and felt utterly depleted before the injection
Since injection I have relief now sense its weariing off this week and absolutely Dread going back to before, I see specialaist sept. enough of me but this is to say things do change, noting lasts although at the time it feels that way
but we keep going, keep coming on here when you can, have you a little tablet thing?
brought so much support, nobody can appreciate unlesss had it or similar
I was at wits end and its uplifting to know that we are not alone ever with this, i found a weep now and then helped me we are all different, hang on in there lovey

So sorry to hear you are in so much pain. I hope you get your right hip sorted soon and then hopefully your knee will improve too. At least the left hip is just a little sore and you know that things can be improved.

I can understand what you are going through it is 5 weeks on Monday for me, and yesterday did quite a bit of walking and today we had a family bbq and was standing a lot today preparing food and now my hip and muscles are hurting. I go back on 25th to see consultant and going to tell him about my left hip which is causing a lot of pain in thigh muscle I am also on 2 cocodamol and I will have to up it
So sorry to hear that you are having such a bad time. Come to the forum when you can, just to vent perhaps, we will all be thinking of you

So sorry you are in so much pain - there is nothing that wears you out and pulls you down so much.
Everyone is thinking of you and do push with your surgeon's secretary for a date. If you don't no one else will. You have to be selfish and think of Number one sometimes.
Try to get on here when you can for some support

Dear hailea ... I am in a similar situation ,,, had R THR 13 weeks ago tomorrow and now my left hip needs to be done ... today I felt as if I wanted to give up !! the operated side is doing okay, however more pain around the joint - my back feels locked and stetching very painful ...knees are hurting - in short, it sucks right now - we are all here for you and sincerely hope that you will find a way to keep coming back - to just talk about whatever you feel or going through - it is a silly question but is it possible for you to get a laptop or Ipad ?

I,m so sorry you are in such pain, we,ve all been there at various times and it's horrible, but it will get better. You are worried and stressed which makes things worse. Please stay in touch with us all, it helps to chat to people who understand.

Yes Hailea my left hip is getting so bab I can hardly stand or walk on it, but once I get going it is just bearable, need to walk for the right one to get better, but now at 4 weeks it seems fine, seeing the surgeon agaon on 26th June, hope to arrange a date soon for the left one as it is going south quickly...Keep posting and there is always an answer here....

hi Ian ... I afraid that we are in the same kayak ... oh dear ... R THR March 16, 2015 and soon after Left hip/leg started to act up - Surgeon showed me x-ray taken right before consultation and yep, needs THR too .... I have to mive out of my little house by August 01 and very nervous about finding a new place to live ... just be gentle with your self - big hug en tot ziens
awww Renee why do you have to move???? sorry you have to have your other hip too do you have a date for that? ((((hugs))))
I know, right? i knew that this would be temporary but did not expect it to be this short (6 months;-() - surgeon wants to see me end of August - honestly, if I didn't have to move, I would schedule surgery asap - and only because of fellow hippies here on this forum am I at peace with it ---- I was sooooooo upset .... thanks for your loving posts -

I am still in cronic pain but at least I now know there is a light at the end of the tunnel and my surgeon will be doing my hip in a couple of weeks.
