Hola, ¿alguien sabe si cit es un medicamento caro? He hecho mucha investigación sobre este medicamento... Conozco a unas pocas personas que lo toman... pero mi PDR dice que es un medicamento muy adictivo, por lo que no lo recetará... Tengo una depresión severa desde la infancia y luego fui diagnosticada con trastorno bipolar hace 3 años... Los estados de ánimo son estables, pero la depresión está lejos de mejorar... Por favor, cualquier información será muy agradecida. Gracias x
all medicines are expensive due to the expensive research and development programme. However if the companies give the west preferential treatment the costs go down and the medicines are sold en masse by prescription or by billing the patient. But other countries who cannot afford to pay rely on charity to supply vaccinations for example and many medicines are not available so what do they do they forge the medicine and sell it for profit to the public
Gracias Richard... solo siento que debe ser el costo por el que no me lo están recetando.. depende de la zona en la que vivamos cómo se gasta el dinero. Hoy me han dicho que esta droga es muy adictiva, por eso no me la están recetando.. sin embargo, me dieron zopiclona tan fácilmente.. También me recetaron quetiapina hace 3 años.. por mi psiquiatra. Poco después, vi a un psiquiatra en formación. Engordé mucho y había tenido un trastorno alimentario años antes. Él lo sabía y podía ver lo deprimida que estaba.. me dijo que nunca debería haberme puesto en esto debido a mi condición, ya que me haría más grande y nunca podría perder el peso, ya que hace que tengas un metabolismo lento. .es la opción más barata. Luego me cambió a litio. .He estado genial con eso. Este psiquiatra de hoy me sugirió que volviera a tomar quetiapina, incluso hablé por un cambio y dije no.. no puedo estar gorda para siempre.. dice que cada droga te hace engordar.. dije sí, pero también puedes perderlo con el tiempo, imposible con quetiapina. Quedó bastante sorprendido.. 😊
well I hope the diet and exercise prescription is not too expensive if that is what you need.
The AD you mention can be addictive, i do take them and have been onthem now for quite a few years.
Most AD are addictive and it does take time to wean yourself off them, with my condition I will be on them now for the rest of my life. I had my last medications review last week and they are leaving well alone

Not expensive. Citalpram or "Celexa". I got off of 8 month's ago after 12 year's with it. It i think did the job for me until I needed other med's that interacted with it and I had to switch to fluoxetine. Fluoxetine interacts also so I'm dealing with that. I found that it was ad cheaper to pay outright vs my copay. Not addictive but definitely needs to be tapered very slow coming off of i found out the hard way.

Hola bob.. Acabo de pasar 8-9 meses con mirtazapina y luego con venlafaxina, ambos me han enfermado con efectos secundarios..antidepresivo tricíclico. Llevo una semana sin venlafaxina y me dijeron que hoy empezaría con citalopram, así que más o menos de golpe. La cabeza me da vueltas como un sonajero de bebé.. No sé.. No entiendo nada en absoluto. Soy bipolar, así que también estaré medicada para siempre, solo necesito acertar 😊 ¿Ya no necesitas más reseñas? ¿Has encontrado un buen lugar con tus medicamentos? Estoy tan desesperada también
Estoy tan confundida... He hablado con tantas personas sobre esta droga... en su mayoría historias buenas, aparte de la reducción gradual... No creo que exista algo así aquí. Vine directamente de mirt con instrucciones para hacerlo. Y venlafaxina, estaba tomando 225 mg y bajé a 75 mg por una semana... No he tomado nada por una semana y me siento absolutamente horrible... como si mi cabeza fuera a rodar de mis hombros... nunca creería que existiera un síndrome de abstinencia así. ¿Cómo estás ahora? No puedo manejarlo en absoluto en este momento 😢

Hi Sharon, Wellbutrin or genetic Buprofin is not known to cause weight gain, sometimes it surpresses appetite. I have also never gained weight on Prozac. Both work quickly for depression. Everything else I have Ever been on has caused weight gain for me, and most others. the generic prozac is fluxotene and it is very reasonable. just my two cents worth...

No me importa subir de peso si puedo volver a bajarlo. Con medicamentos como la quetiapina no puedes debido al metabolismo lento. Después de tener un trastorno alimentario durante tantos años, fue difícil lidiar con el aumento de peso, sin mencionar volver a una depresión profunda. Estuve muy agradecida por la ayuda del tranee. Recientemente he estado tomando mirtazapina y venlafaxina, el mismo medicamento... no sé por qué. Demasiados efectos secundarios... así que ahora me están dando un nuevo estabilizador del ánimo para ir junto con el que ya estoy tomando. Tengo depresión severa, espero que funcione... Tengo una nueva cita en dos meses para ver cómo va.
wellbutrin is not legal there? oh my.......be very careful with the venlafaxine. just go SLOWLY!!!!!
Hi Sharon, I think the GP's are getting confused, A month of citrolpram costs between 95p-£1.06 for a Months Supply, where as escitalopram is around £25-£26 for a Month (these are what the NHS pays). I think it's more of a case that they want to keep the numbers down because is dosen't look good on their figures at the end of the Year. The Government would see it as a failing if a large number of people in one area are taking the Drug. I know this is wrong, but you can tell by the ammount of people just on this forum, how many are talking about citrolpram. A Surgery dosen' look to good when asked how are the Patients doing? Oh their all great, everyones taking citrolpram. It's propper rubbish, but it seems like first come, first serve.

Hola Al, espero que estés bien. No soy nada bueno con todo esto, no entiendo cómo darme un nuevo medicamento, pero otro estabilizador del estado de ánimo, va a levantar esta depresión severa. ??? He sido un ermitaño desde marzo, he caído tan bajo... 4 semanas sólidas de manía y no puedo salir de la casa significa 😢😢 cuenta bancaria vacía y muy sobregirada. Estoy empezando a salir de eso ahora. Tan cansado... tengo todo tipo de insignias aquí hablando sin parar 😆😆😆😊 muestra cuánto ha durado esta vez, tengo una cita de nuevo en 2 meses. No me importaría haber dejado el ven fríamente porque un médico diferente dijo que lo empezaría. 😙

Hi Sharon, Sounds like your having a really shlt time, try not to worry about your Money situation to much, it's only going to make you feel worse. It may be worth your while calling your Bank and explaining your situation, that usually get's them to put a halt on OD charges, then you can feel more able to tackle other issues. Do you just have your GP or are you with a Mental Health Clinic? With a session lasting four months, kudos to you sticking it out, but you need to be trialled on a different med, I'm not sure why they seem to be neglecting this issue. With regards to your weight, it's not a priority during an episode, but if its bothering you then may be see what services you have round your area. I'm trying whyweight in September, been prommised it's nothing like weight watchers.... Gives me a bit more structure, and may meet some good people (we are supposed to be jolly). If your house bound for 4months, weight gain is a given, so don't be so hard on yourself. List chores and jobs that you want to acomplish, I find looking at them on paper makes it not look so daunting and you feel a little better when you cross them out. When is your next appointment? seriously, open up the capsule and count out the beads. you cannot cold turkey that med. if you have made it 8 days, you might put in half of the beads of a 37.5 and take that for a week. then, do the same the next week. i got protracted withdrawal and my hands and feet tingled and went numb for months after i quit. brain zaps. you can do it, but please go SLOW
Vaya, estoy teniendo descargas cerebrales... No creo que esté mejorando. Los psiquiatras no se interesaron por cómo me siento sin ello. Tomo la tableta de 225 mg, intenté dejarlo por 2 días y luego pasé a 75 mg durante 5 días. Luego me dijeron que lo dejara. Voy a cortar la pastilla de 75 mg en cuatro, creo. Empecé a pensar que no se iría por sí solo... obviamente otro estabilizador del ánimo no ayudaría. Muchas gracias por tu ayuda x
