Is it normal for an uncircumcised penis corona— the back of the penis head – to smell bad? Its also sore and irritated but it doesn’t hurt at all. I don’t see any smegma because I wash my penis head every time I shower. However if I pull back after a long day, and touch my corona, sometimes my fingers will smell bad and the head is shiny with clear discharge on the corona. The smell is usually strong depending on if I’ve washed and have had friction that day. almost like a urinal smell. Is this normal? Could it be an STI? or and STD?

i have no idea what it might be but i use shea butter because it is apparentlt good for your penis as a moisturizer and stops it smelling bad search it up.
The painful truth is that if you urinate, to some degree or another there will be a bad odour. The only thing you can do about this is to minimise it as far as possible. Washing the area when you shower is not enough, if you can wash after every time you urinate that would be better. When you cannot wash, such as when you are out of the house, use a paper tissue or toilet paper to remove urine residue from around the head area of the penis. If you are uncircumcised draw the foreskin away from the tip of the penis before starting to urinate as this will help minimise contact with other skin areas.
The photo shows that you may have some skin irritation going on, and as you suggest it seems you are getting the presence of liquid on the head of your penis anyway. The irritation can be caused by something as basic as the skin in the area remaining wet for too long and too frequently. Again, washing and throughly drying the area is very important for this. In fact, many men simply deal with washing and drying without giving much thought to what they are are actually needing to ensure that occurs. So wash for the hygiene, but then making sure the skin is 100% dry is very important as well, as this prevent skin problems caused by the regular presence of dampness in the entire head region of the penis. Some soaps and shower gels can also have a negative impact on penile skin, so use skin sensitive / hypoallergenic soaps and shower gels if you can, or simply minimise contact with soap and all body cleansers from the head area of the penis.
So when you say ‘is this Balanitis’ this is a ‘cover-all’ term for irritation being present on the head, or/and foreskin of the penis - it says nothing about what has caused it or how to treat it.
The idea of using SHEA butter (“Raw” if possible) is a good one as it has many positive skin properties, and, can also help to deal with the odour issue you have.
