I am in my early 30’s.
I tested positive for Syphilis at urgent care a week ago. I knew I tested positive for Syphilis as my results were released.
I was informed, I needed to come in and get my results.
The doctor at the urgent care gave me my results, but stated he could not treat me and I would have to go to my primary care physician. He denied my request for doxycycline as well.
I called a second urgent care and was informed that they could not treat me for Syphilis either.
Why doesn’t urgent care treat Syphilis?
