Is this Anxiety?

Age: 29 Gender: Male Height: 5'10 weight: 131 Is it possible to have anxiety or stress 24/7? I’ve been seeing a cardiologist and have done some blood work, wore a heart monitor and have taken an ekg and chest X-ray and all these tests have checked out fine. My doctor recommends me to talk to someone (I have been seeing a therapist - but I think he means someone who can prescribe medication), yet my heart is racing every second of the day and I feel like I can’t breathe from my stomach. I feel like I’m on a roller coaster. I sometimes get shaking, chills and goosebumps along with this. I feel like I’m impending doom and losing my mind. I try to relax and do breathing exercises but it comes back and I’m pretty convinced there is something wrong with my heart and body. The heart palpitations are the worst! As soon as I hit the pillow I fall right asleep, but then later on at night or right before I get up, I notice my heart race. If I slightly stretch, sit up or do anything it’s beating fast.

I get all this too, plus more! it’s all anxiety and it’s very scary. I too struggle to accept it’s just anxiety and every day I’m convinced its my heart or something sinister and that my body is just going to give up on me it’s the worst! every morning I wake up shaking with my heart pounding, you’re not alone. I would definitely recommend medication if you’ve been like this a while, I was so reluctant to take medication but I gave in and I’m 2 weeks in today, still a long way to go but determined to carry on!
