I decided to post here because from what I’ve seen no ones symptoms look like mine, and I’m trying to figure out what this rash on my vaginal area is.
The beginning of last week I was having itching in the area mainly on my vulva which I noticed in the shower while washing, and after awhile that began to lightly swell and continuous itch. I ended up going to the clinic that Thursday, because even though the itching stopped on my vulva, my vaginal lips where itching now as well as the pubic area above my clit. My discharge was sometimes yellow and sometimes white. The day I went in the itching was bad on my vaginal lips and the pubic area above my clit, and the skin around that area was dry/patchy.
I got testing done for everything that day including swabs, blood. When I was there I told the nurses my symptoms and I asked if they could see the rash on my area during swabs. She said there’s no rash. But I could clearly tell it was a rash coming on.
They told me it was most likely bv or a yeast infection, and I was sent off honestly confused. I also let her know I was sexually active (1 guy in last 6mo). I was told I would get my results in 3 days. I called this week and they said it’d be 7 days. But the thing is my symptoms have changed and whatever it is, I’m a little freaked. I even started 3 day monstat on my own, it’s helping the itching but that’s it.
The rash on my vaginal lip area has turned into a puffy rash with a series of bumps, or what I think are bumps, there’s no separation of them. I’m not sure what it is but I’m really worried it herpes. From what I’ve seen it doesn’t look like the pics on this site though.
Even though I’m awaiting results this has been stressing me, let me know
