Hello, ive had these 3 bumps on my shaft and 2 bumps on my scrodum for a little over a month now. No ulcerations at all just slight discomfort. Recently, my last partner tested positive for hsv 2. So obviously when i saw these bumps i had freaked out, after this i went to a dermatologist appointment and explained the situation to her.. she took one look and quickly told me it was pearly penile papules. Other that and little discomfort were my only symptoms of herpes, and according to her my bumps were not herpes. i always thought pearly penile papules were typically near the head not the shaft or base but im sure she knows better.. What are yall's opinions? Thank you
What you are wondering is that whether these are sexual health related or not, certainly they are not genital type warts in their presentation. The presentation is more like a natural genital spot such as Fordyce, or the PPP as suggested.
And yes, the Dermatologist should have the superior level of knowledge.
What I would suggest is if you want a second opinion go to one of the larger Sexual Health / STI clinic facilities in the region in which you live
Thank you! Thats what im going to do, ive been experiencing some uncomfortability in my genital area as well which i am not sure what is causing, i wouldnt say its pain or burning but just uncomfortable.
