i had a panic attack two years ago while pregnant and got over it although was nervous alot and stopped drinking and smoking, i had a severe panic attack two weeks ago after a weekend away with my children and husband i now everyday have these feelings ofdread tight chest, jelly legs dizzyness feel sick, does this sound like anxiety to anyone else please help me to understand this strange disorder x x
Absolutely. Those are all feelings and symptoms of anxiety. I get them almost everyday and I am working on controlling them now. They will pass though. Google things on how to control it. YouTube Harry Barry and watch the video "Doctor explains how to stop a panic attack".
Ive recently had my first attack a month ago. Ive had three bad ones so far so i am new to this, but i will say i do have days on end where i will feel weird. Especially my chest. I think its normal and is anxiety. The bad thoughts might be with you constantly even when your not really focusing on them. It has helped me alot to do research and learn everything i can on anxiety. I felt so alone but there are so many people who suffer through this everyday but one day you will get to a point where you have it under control. I believe i will one day myself. Im trying to learn not to fear anxiety nor any attacks. Take it one day at time. I will say i smoke and drink and i found drinking is the time where i can truly feel relaxed and care free. Not saying to start again. Anyways i hope this helps. Take care & good luck
It could be.
You have to give your body time to recover and learn to trust it again after it has totally freaked you out.
Check other things too like your iron levels, are you sleeping enough, have you got a bug. Have you got jelly legs from running around with the kids?
Don't jump straight to anxiety - which is what someone with anxiety would do. Try and think rationally as well as with a panicky brain and see what you come up with.
If you think its anxiety, go speak to your GP and they will help. If they don't think its anxiety they will have their own ideas and be able to advise you.
