Itching after outbreak

I've been diagnosed with HSV-2 by my doctor about a month ago, the sores went away and then the itching started, my doctor said it was pinworms and gave me medication, however this did not help. After about a week of itching I recently realized (yesterday) that I'm currently having another outbreak. Are outbreaks suppose to occur so regularly? It's only been 2 weeks and I'm already having another outbreak. Can anyone relate to this ? I'm not sure if I did something to trigger the outbreak.

I have the same thing my outbreaks comes and goes to they are not so bad as they used to be though because I decided to take valtrix for the outbreaks the medicine helps them a lot

Do you take the medication daily ? Or only when you have an outbreak. I would really like to take meds if it prevents the outbreaks. I can't have outbreaks every two weeks. It's depressing, I haven't come to terms with it as yet, and my partner and I enjoy having sex so now as the outbreak came so close to the first one, I'm beginning to worry.

I decided today I'm going to take the medicine regularly only because I don't want the horrible outbreaks to come back if I stop taking them.

Okay, keep me posted, the first time the meds along sit baths helps. So let's hope these go away after a few days when I get the meds

Itching is fairly common with herpes outbreaks, so I don't know that it was necessarily pinworms you had. Outbreak frequency varies from individual to individual and is usually worse in the first few months to a year, as your body adapts and the virus settles down.

I went to get the medication today but the healthcare in my country is really bad so I didn't get it, have to go back tomorrow. My lymph nodes on my groin have been swollen since my first outbreak. However this morning I got up and they were gone, not swollen and no pain, however how come they went down in the middle of an outbreak that makes no sense

Everybody is different. Some people may not even get swollen glands with the first outbreak (many do, however), and most don't experience swollen glands with recurrences.
