Since increasing to 20mg iv had dome itching and been quite breathless just wondering if this is normal and will pass. Im also starting to get bad insomnia. I take my tab in the night so i am going to switch to morning i think xxx

Yes they can be side effects from your increase. Many people take melatonin to help with sleep. If you find the itching or shortness of breath getting worse please contact your doctor.

Hi star welldone in going up to 20mg, but like I said b4 and Laurie as you will always get the symptoms when you increase your med, in time, like you did last time it will get better..
Iv not had the breathless or itchy from these meds and I’m on 60mg.. but the nite sleep I do have prob with not getting much sleep, but Iv put that down to going through the menopause, as that was there b4 I started this med... you may be worrying to much and having a bit of a panic attack, try taking deep breaths and take your mind of things, it will all settle down as time goes by again, stick with it your doing brill big hug 🤗xx

Hi star, how’s things going today for you?? I don’t sleep at nite it takes me around 2/3 to fall asleep then awake after a hour, feeling very agitated, so I understand how it is for you at nite, but I think mines down to going through the menopause as not sleeped in around 3 yrs now, and only been on Prozac for five half mths, so for ME I don’t think it’s the med but the menopause..
I do hope it all settles down for you again. And I’m sure it will, keep going your doing really well, let us all know how things are going big hug 🤗x
Good morning ladies, 🤗 Well it's morning for me as I live in Ontario Canada. I chat with a few other people from the UK. It helps to know where everyone is from for the time differences. Sorry it was a crappy sleep. That is a pain. I've found I will have some good but more difficult sleep patterns. I'm going through menopause as well so it's hard to know what is causing what. I've woken that last few mornings with heightened anxiety. Ugh. I try not to give it too much thought or energy and get moving and try to busy myself. This does help most times. Do you work Star?

Ah thank you Dawn. ❤️❤️ Between the insomnia, night sweats and hot flashes it's a pain but just gotta live with it. 🙄🙄 I'm having a bit better day today. Putting up the Christmas decorations. Where do you live in this great big world?
Yeah I no what you mean, bloody menopause😫... four years on now so fingers crossed it may be over soon, or at least one day..

Hi girls iv dropped the dose bk to 15mgnut still cant dlp and imhaving awful breathlessness and tight chest. I keep worrying the meds will make me have a heart attack. I know the likelyhood is its just anxiety xxx
Ow dear star.. sorry you’ve had to drop your med... but I really don’t think it’s to do with this drug ( may be wrong) but yes I think you’ve prob worked yourself up so much, that your having some symptoms like a panic attack, as that’s how you feel, your going to have a heart attack....

Hi Dawn thankyou for your reply and for being so kind. Today has been another rubbish day i keep getting this strange pain in my left rib cage it feels like a palpitation but its really painful like a painful flutter. Im not aure if this is an anxiety symptom or something to he worried about xxx
Hi star.. how old are you?? Now you’ve dropped you med your going to get some symptoms again as that’s what it’s like, when u increase and when u go down, think your body won’t know if coming or go at the mo, so bear with it..
As for the pain, I to do get this as well on my left side, half way where my ribs are, where your lungs sit, and it’s been there for the last three years, every day, I had blood clots on my lungs two years ago, and throught it was some thing to do with that, BUT it’s not, as Iv seen my consultant because my breathing as got no better and this pain, he’s said my clots were on my right lung so can’t be that, so I’m putting it once again down to the menopause, don’t know y but Iv heard a lot of people on here say they also have this pain on there left side and they are going through the menopause.. so maybe it’s to do with that lol..
If your really worried see your doc, and u can have a X-ray so to put your mind at rest...
Try to chill out if you can, I know it’s really hard to do that, but do some thing to take your mind of things, good luk chic, hope u get sorted soon big hug 🤗xx

I hope everyone is having a better day today. Star like Dawn said increasing or decreasing Prozac will cause side effects. It takes time to settle in or out of our systems. That's good news that your ecg came back normal. Anxiety can reak havoc on us making us feel and believe the most terrible things. You are going to get through this honey it's just going to take some time and that's ok because it will be worth it in the end. You are not alone. ❤️❤️
