I woke up to an acheing, throbbing leg and looked down to see what looks like a bite mark?(Shown in picture) A ring around the outside and a sort of swelling in the middle. As the day went on it got worse and the middle started to turn into a blister .
Now on day 2 the redness has gone around but I do have a large blister. It isnt painful anymore, only slight twinges at time, Does anybody know the best way to go about healing this, or even what it is that could have bit me in the Uk at this time of year?
Many thanks
I would have that looked at as soon as you can because of the ring forming around it.
Lauren ,go look at picture of Lyme ,this is what it looks like to me ,go and see your Dr with it. You need antibiotic . I had this bite on my neck yrs ago ,Lyme unknown back then.
That does not look good, could have been some king of spider, best to go see a doctor.
Hi everyone
I went to the doctors, who said they don't know what kind of bite it was as it's hard to tell these days.
They gave me antibiotics and said that the blister is a typical sign of a bite, and nothing to worry about.
However the blister has grew in size and is almost an orange colour now.
I'm starting to get a bit worried, but my doctor who I seen earlier today, didn't seem phased at all, he acted like it was just a normal thing.
Give the antibiotics a few days to start working and if it doesnt look like its getting better pay them another visit , normally takes a good 2 days for antibiotics to start working
Yes,looks like a tick bite infected with Lyme disease. Have you been walking in woods or heathland? Give those antibiotics time to work but if it gets worse go back to your doctor.
