I’ve had some problems in the penile area

I have been experiencing pain/burning sensation when urinating. It seems to only happen if I wake up to urinate in the middle of the night/in the morning after waking up. I had unprotected sex about 7 weeks ago and got tested 2 weeks ago (5 weeks after possible exposure) and everything turned up negative. I am HIV+, but have been undetectable for well over 4 years, so HIV isn't a concern. Another concern is that several hours after masturbating to completion, a little drop comes out of the tip of my penis. This looks similar to semen, but I'm not sure what it is. If it isn't a STD, I don't know what it could be. Did I possibly get tested before an incubation period? Any help would be much appreciated.

maybe its a uti

That's what I thought. I'll talk ti my doctor next week to see if those are common symptoms. I have heard that UTIs aren't too common in men.

sounds like a UTI but it is best to talk to a doctor and get tested again

any news ?

I spoke with my doctor yesterday and he said that it seems more likely that it is a STI, which is confusing because I got tested and the results for chlamydia and gonorrhea came up negative after 5 weeks. They asked that I get tested again, along with a test for a UTI. They gave me a single 500mg dose of Azithromycin, which i took last night, to see if that helps it clear up. Crossing my fingers that it isn't a STI, but it is better to know an treat it, than remain in the dark and worry. I will keep everyone updated when i get the results in a few days.

So an update on my condition (see my response to find out what the doctor said), the drop of white fluid coming out of my penis started even when I have not masturbated or had sex. There is a tingling/itchy feeling when it does come out. Does anyone still think it is a UTI?

so an update. my lab results came back negative for all chlamydia and gonorrhea. they also came back negative for a UTI. not really sure what to do anymore. the symptoms seem to be fading a bit, but it still has me concerned.
