I went to my doctor yesterday because I had some pain and bumps down there under my clitoris hood. As soon as my Gyn looked she was shocked and grossed out and asked have I ever been diagnosed with herpes. I said no she told me " well this is herpes" she took a culture and I will find out for sure on Wednesday but I don't understand how I can have it but my boyfriend don't. He recently went to do a blood test and his results were <1:10(1:10) that's negative correct ? He told me that everything had came back good and we had nothing to worry about. Was he lying to me ? Did he have it before me?
The test was igm blood test. He never had any cold sores and yes he has performed oral sex.
After reading this I know for a fact that I have it. I have sores that burn and my gyn just did a culture because I thought I have a yeast infection but turns out I have herpes instead. I had sex with him in protected 2 weeks ago because he got everything checked and his doctor said he was clean. I wish I was a little more educated before. I don't even think he knows he has herpes we are both really young. Idk how I'm going to tell him this after we thought everything was okay. And I also thought when doctors did a full culture that ment herpes too so I could have had it before him or he could have at this point it just really sucks to be me.
Wow ! Thank you so much for this information I will def go get tested by blood to make sure. Thank you !
