Hey guys so I went I the doc yesterday for what I've been experiencing lately (shortness of breath,dizziness, lightheadedness etc) and she said what I described is a classic case of anxiety so I guess I was releive it's just anxiety and nothing more but I still had the shortness of breath feeling all day yesterday and I fell asleep and now I'm awake and I wake up feeling normal then 3 mins later BAM I'm back to breathing problems. It feels like I still have to breathe super deep to get a sufficient breathe and I hate it casue I feel like I'm ALWAYS focused on it even if I don't want to. So now I'm starting to thing what if the doc was wrong what if it is respiratory related
but then again I was able to sleep like a baby without any problems.
Apprenez à respirer avec le ventre. L'application Bellybio peut vous apprendre. Voyez si cela vous aide. Je ne pense pas que vous preniez de profondes respirations en utilisant votre poitrine et qu'elles ne vous calmeront pas vraiment. Le ventre est bien mieux et plus efficace.

Try breathing exersises, and Relaxation Techniques Mindfulness is the favourite technique at this time so either talk to your GP for relaxation tapes of try AMAZON, they has books exlaining the system

Hi there,
When you say your feeling shortness of breath is it like a tightening of your chest you are feeling, the reason i ask this is you could be right you could have asthma. I didnt have it as a child but now have it as an adult and i get tightness in my chest. try a ventolin inhaler that will ease the symptoms if it works you have asthma.
Becuase of your anxiety Kalms might be helpful for you to take also.
When you see your GP have words about your breathing. Hopefully She will check and put your mind at rest.
Mind at this time of year I get very dry, we live in the countryside and the tractors and combines really blow the dust about, also sometimes their can be ollution from lorries etc that make matters worse

No it's not tight. It's like I just have inhale really deeply all the time to get a sufficient breath and there are times it just feels like I'm inhaling and it's just coming right out of me it's really weird. I had asthma as a kid and I do have an inhaler and I've used it for this before and it was the worse thing ever because it made me super jittery and I heard that with anxiety you have to avoid stimulants which the inhaler is so I guess I must've reacted from that

Take some time to read through other anxiety discussions in this forum. You will see what I mean, and learn a lot about anxiety. The more you know the quicker you can begin to get your life back Sweetie.

I get breathing problems when my anxiety is bad, I think when we are anxious we tend to shallow breath, and then need to take deeper breaths to compensate.
I often find I want to yawn but cant,
But like you when resting asleep no problem.
When my little boy had breathing problems years ago, the specialist said if the breathing pattern was normal when sleeping then there wasnt a real problem, I sort of relate to that with my anxiety breathlessness,
If you are worried unduly though it would be best to get it checked for your peace of mind x
