Knee Pain + Locking + Giving Way

It's been going on for around a year now, I'm a 19 year old male, I never do any sports, so it can't be a tear.

Symptoms:

- Locking when leg is rotated (full flection at 140deg)

- Knee pain when walking on

- First time gave way few week ago

Timeline:

- Went to see GP, referred for X-Ray.

- No results on X-Ray.

- Reffered to consultant who referred me for MRI.

- Nothing on MRI.

- Started Physio for 3 months (Jan), slight help, not much better.

- Consultant review said not confident doing arthroscopy as low chances or diagnosis / could cause compliations later.

Next:

- Consultant doesn't know where to go next and sent me for more physio which I attended once to find that I need to do calf excercies, so I never went back... (The physio dude seemed clueless)

Where do I go from here? sad

Go back and finish Phisoderm.. That is the very best fix.. It has given me back my poor knees many times.. U have to follow thru with PT  surgery os the very , very last answer. UR young UR body can heal it takes months for soft tissue injuries to heal.

CHEERS

HOPE

try swimming this has helped me get back from having a tkr . my daughter had knee problems at your age she was told to ride a bike , has any one looked at your walk some times your weight on your knees can push things out , or it could be from the hip , i was given insoles for my shoes they make your feet stable without any role , could be worth a try

After finishing PSIO therapy riding a bike is good not bearing exercise for knees and swimming .. Debbie is right .. Take it form those who share..

great advice.

thanks for sharing.
