Labyrinthitis and dizzy spells

Hi everyone

After a few months of feeling dizzy and wobbly, (I'm thinking mine started after this horrid virus going around) I read that ginger tea is very good, I started drinking it about 1 week ago and can honestly say the symptoms have improved.. I also use peppermint and lavender oil behind the ears.. Just thought I would share this, as so many people suffering at the moment.. Definitely helping and feel much better now.. It's worth a go

Thanks for the information. I wanna ask you how do the dizzy spells make you feel ? Can you describe your dizziness ? Did you have it while walking, sitting and standing and was it everyday all day ?

Hi

Wasn't all day every day, but it just washes over me, for instance, the supermarket, loud noise, lots of people.. Just spun me out.. The feeling is dreadful, standing, sitting.. Just like I'm constantly moving.. And I get a pain in my neck/shoulder when it happens, I don't want to talk to anyone, feel like I'm in a world of my own.. Vision seemed worse too.. Echo, tunnel., it's awful feeling.. And because you look ok, people think you're a hypochondriac.. My balance was so badly affected, I couldn't drive. When I get an episode now, I try and think positive, knowing it's nothing serious.. But defo ginger tea is helping.. I'm not taking meds doctor gave me, I believe I felt worse, and stress doesn't help..

My dizziness is all day everyday when I sit, stand and walk also have ringing in ears but went to an ENT Dr and they did a vestibular test and said it was normal. I am seeing a psychiatrist who advised me to take prozak which I just started but I still feel the dizziness is related to my ear so have an appt to see an ear specialist next month to have better tests done
