could i ask other sufferers of D.D If they are suffering from iron deficiency
due to drastic change in their diet ? Due to not eating vegetables and other
iron producing foods ,and would it be wise to take an iron supplement ?
As there are no clinic follow ups does it mean a visit to the G.P for advice
and a blood test ?????
Even if you eat loads of veg you are unlikely to get the vitamins and minerals you need. A cabbagenow contains ony about 3% of the vitamins and minerals it contained 5 0 years ago.
I am supposed to be on iron but mine is due to
problems with monthlies not dd but suppose you could get low on iron as low veg in take
Intrigued Carmel, was the E a typist error. or a push towards the
vitamin???
LOL. It was where I went to type something and it automatically sent the message before I finished. It often does that.
Sounds like the alien that lives in my laptop, It goes one better, and lets me finish a post, then whizzes it off into oblivion.
Oooh I do hope Jon is reading this. I am a blood donor so my iron levels are checked on a regular basis. Given the supplements I take, I do not suffer from deficiency of iron or anything else (that I am aware of). I also take calcium and vitamins to help each other to be the best they possibly can be as regards absorption. It's a wonder I don't rattle, but I would rather take supplements than risk being told I can't donate. It means quite a lot to me to be able to do that.
