Does anyone else suffer from leg and feet pain when they get up so bad that you loose your balance at times?
Often! I also find my right leg gives out and down I go! Very gracefully so far, but down - my feet burn and feel a bit numb too!
Ok thanks my doctor wants to say that it's plantar faciatious and send me to physical therapy. I feel like I'm losing control of my life
I know exactly what you mean, My back is in constant spasm tonight, so although my legs and feet hurt, and knee, wrists, elbows, neck and shoulders - they seem bearable compared with my back!
I am waiting to see the CMAT team, but you are right, my life is not mine anymore either!
i have the same problem to look up online for symptoms of fibromyalgia and chronic fatigue syndrome to see if you have any other symptoms relating to those as i have both and have ibs as well but it started in my legs then the rest of my body just followed so please check that up so you then can approach your doctor again ad ask to see a rheumatologist and let me know if you suffer from any other symptoms
Glad to know I am not alone!!!! Thanks
I do have the chronic fatigue also... I hurt all over and I am so tired. I work full time and by the time I get off I get to the truck and just sit and cry.. my hips, knees, in between my shoulders the pain is horrible! I have to hold on to the walls to get to the bathroom at night because of the pain. But all my doctor wants to do is send me to physical therapy. I've been to therapy it doesn't work. Thanks for responding
i think to be honest you could have fibromyalgia but at a severe level as i have been diagnosed with it and what your describing to me sounds like fibromyalgia as the pain level your describing would be at a higher level than that of a normal person see your gp about getting tested for fibromyalgia and if your gp does not then see someone else and put a complaint in cause there duty bound by law to provide you with the best health care possible and if they dont then its malpractice and you could take them to court and the doctor could get struck off so see your gp and mention your symptoms mach the same as someone diagnosed with fibromyalgia
good luck with that my friend and ask your gp if he or she thinks you may have fibromyalgia as your symptoms relate to that i know im diagnosed with it and its horrible but consult your gp and ask about that and let me know how you get on
Morning Pam; yes this is often a problem for all of us. For me, I have found that by wearing TED stockings to bed during the night, and massaging the legs/feet with a Dencorub gel (there is one here in Australia that contains an "Aspirin-like additive", that works well....also the Bio-magnesium tabs help (I take 1 daily)...as for the loss of balance...it happens a lot...just turning/moving too quickly can make me lose my balance....going all dizzy (I know that has nothing to do with the pain in legs in early morning)....but try wearing the stockings to bed....they keep the circulation going....can get them at chemists.....good luck...Bron
Derek I have been diagnosed with fibro. I was diagnosed in 2009. The only meds I am on is Cymbalta and 800 MG ibeaprofin. Today I went to the doctor and told her I was falling now and that the pain was almost unbearable and that's when she said she was sending me back to physical therapy.
Thanks Bron. I'll try that
Me again, Pam; just read your reply to Derek......do you feel Cymbalta is helping (I trialled it, and all it did was "make me cry....for no reason)....I think if you want to trial Amitriptylline, and Gabapentin (Neurontin), plus if you also have any joint pains, I have found Voltaren (with Pariet to protect the gastric lining), you may getter better relief? When I was taking Brufen (aka Ibobrufen/naprosan)...it just made my legs swell, and is known to cause weight gain....I do use small amount of same if I Have Muscle spasms/pain in back...but mainly the other 3 - 4 and have been well controlled for many years....plus the Magnesium (and same for baths) and a concotion of vitamins (will try and add the name...Berrocca....hoping not to be moderated)....it covers a Lot of essential vitamins......do think re these, as it may save a lot of time of finding the right meds (which sooooo many of us have had to do....took me probably 15 years to get it right)... others with a light condition of Fibro, find Lyrica to help, pain-wise, but the few that I know who take same, don't have pain ALL over, and have also gained weight)...hoping that I havn't offended anyone with this comment.......good luck, Bron
Hi Pam, Yes I get that too. Especially on the Left side for some strange reason. My feet throm so much most days, and makes it very difficult to walk. Hope you can have a good day
Hi Pam. I get that really badly in a morning getting out of bed. I also get the more tired I get. My husband says I walk like a drunken sailor. I have also fallen, but don't do it very gracefully either. I tend to end up falling in the street or on the paving slabs in the garden.
I have had more grazes and bruises than I have ever had.
Try the physical therapy it may just work for you.
Take care and gentle hugs.
well your not alone and i have met a lot of really nice friends on here and they have supported and helped me in a big way and i just want you to know im here for you x
Gabapention made me angry I didn't want to be around anyone at all. Not even my husband. I have gained a lot of weight and that depresses me so much. I am just so overwhelmed by all of this. The fact thatost people don't understand is also frustrating.
my wife says that about me to or sometimes calls me john wayne and it does make me laugh but i hate falling over and the pain i suffer afterwards is horrible i cant really handle it and i end up crying in pain and i have had more bruises thean i have ever had to but good advice try that and try anything else you can think of as im sure you will eventually find something that works for you pam81968 good luck and how are you feeling janet x
bless you it is overwhelming and frustrating as most people dont understand but if you ever need to chat im here for you cause believe me i do understand x
Morning Pam; I am sorry to hear that Gabapentin didn't work for you....as we all know, different meds affect others in diferent ways. I will take note of your experience, as it is the first time anyone has commented on this med, in this manner.....we all learn from what others say/their comments. Is there anything that you have been able to take to compensate for this medication? as others may need to find same for their Nerve Endings/blockage of pain to receptors? Bron
