Discrepância de comprimento das pernas - estou sozinho?

Since birth Ive had one leg shorter than the other. Im female, 35.

I've compensated for this pretty well. So much so, my partner of 7 years doesn't even know! My left Levi's the shorter, my left foot is at least a size smaller, and I only have 4 toes on that foot... my right leg is more muscular than my left(calf is bigger)

this has significantly affected my mental state. I suffer from severe anxiety(always have) and I never tell anyone about these flaws... none of my friends even know!

Anyway, my question is, how can I expect this to affect me?

I've recently developed discomfort in my right calf-not pain, more like a tightness. I get occasional pain under my right rib cage, and some back pains too. If I walk far I end up with terrible stiffness in my left ankle and struggle to walk the following day due to a shortened Achilles

I feel like I'm falling apart!!

Talk to me... please

Hi first off how much is the discrepancy, I now have one as well and I wear a foot lift to compensate, have you seen an orthotics specialist or anyone else, don't be worried about it, you are the person that your partner loves and to be honest no one else really matters.

Anxiety is really #### I know, I have suffered with it since age 13, sometimes I cope and other times I really struggle so if your needing support give me a shout.

   Melhores desejos, Joanne

I'm not even sure what the difference is now?! I vaguely remember 3.5cm being thrown about when I was a child, but don't quote me on that.

I've always seen it as a weakness. A disability almost. People notice the limp and I say 'oh I've just hurt my ankle'. Can't bring myself to tell them the truth, as I feel they'll look at me differently. Pity me, perhaps.

In the last few months, ive developed all manners of ailments. Most of which, are on my right side. Most worrying of all is the calf discomfort. Do either of you get aches and pains due to your 'wonkiness'?

Thanks so much for replying

Hi I have something similar I don't want to scare you because mine is a bit more severe but I can answer any questions you may have. I understand about anxiety and Depression. Basically my left leg is just under 2 inches shorter than my right. My left foot is a 8 and the rt a 10-10.5 (depending on shoe) also the foot is deformed (multiple deformities hard to explain). My calf muscle in my left leg is practically nonexistent (think peg leg). I say that to say I have a lot of issues that you hopefully won't have to deal with ex:knee, hip, back issues. I would strongly recommend you get a lift either in your shoe or on the outside (a shoe maker can make it totally undetectable). I also recommend that you see a podiatrist or ortho specialist at least once a year. The best thing for you at this age and stage is prevention as opposed to developing problems and trying to fix them later. Again if you have any questions feel free to ask!
