Has anyone taking this med felt depressed on it , I've only been taking 10 mg a day for 2 week's and I get headaches and feel quite dizzy which I knew could happen from information leaflet however at the moment I feel very down and weepy wondering if it could be this tablet as was ok before I started it would love to hear from anyone taking this tablet
Hi Ann. It seems no one on this forum is on lercanidipine! Either that or they haven't seen your post.
I am on ramipril and know loads of people who can't get on with it so they changed. I was lucky and didn't suffer from the dry tickly constant cough that a lot of ramipril users suffer.
In other words Ann, if your body does not like your prescribed medication, go and see your GP and ask for it to be changed. It may be a case of trial and error but there will be a suitable drug out there to suit you. Also help it by looking at and if necessary changing lifestyle.

Hello annj54 i have been told i have high blood preasure by the nurse taking it at home it is 140/66 my old doctor said ihad white coat symtem However this nurse was adament and prescibed Lercanidipine 10mls Doing serious research on this drug i find many possible side effects including the ones you have I have decided not to take this tablet You do not say how high your presure is so it may be you do need the tablets in which case go back and ask your doctor to change them Ann i am very sorry you are suffering but could you not try excerses and diet it is now being shown that tablets are not always the answer Take care
Hi thanks for replying I am 60 years old 5'4" weight 10- 12 don't smoke used to walk my dog's everyday until these tablets for BP effected my joints my diet I think is quite healthy using pro active Marg and drinks only grill never fry doc changed my tablets but new ones gave me a cough which is common side effect didn't have a good night sleep for a month came off them took 2 week's for cough to go my BP at home always acceptable level but when doctor takes it 160 even as high as 170 /90 showed doctor my readings but adamant I need meds now dreading starting new ones for fear of how I'll feel this whole issue of high BP is really getting me down
