I'm curious if anyone else has this experience. I'm usually at least slightly light headed and/or off balance most of the time. And sometimes I go through spells where I feel like I could pass out any second and I'm fighting to stay conscious. And that can last anywhere from a couple of minutes to over an hour. However I have never passed out. Docs all say anxiety. I've been to several different specialists. Except of course a neurologist or an endocrinologist. Anyway. Thank you ahead of time for sharing.
I have had that feeling on and off for many years. Due to anxiety. Just to get peace of mind, I saw a neurologist, had an MRI which was normal,.
You can do that if you are really are struggling with this, that wat you will know it's nothing serious.
Try some slow deep breathing when you have this lightheadedness or listen to meditations on you tube for anxiety. They totally calm down my mind and body.
❤️😁
Lightheaded. What about headaches? Do you take an SSRI? That helps me with that.
I have been to a neurologist dr says its all anxiety and she gave me anti anxiety meds abd all symptoms are gone. Talk to your dr.
Regards.

I first went to the ER many years ago for panic attacks. The Doc there told me to go to a neurologist. I got to thinking this could be anxiety. So I requested a EEG. The Dr. wrote me an order and the EEG said no seizure activity. So I went to the psychiatrist, I asked if I had panic or anxiety. he said, "You have both".
Panic attacks will never hurt you. Oh believe me I know, you feel like your dying. You might not believe me. But they aren't fatal. Anxiety isn't a neurological disorder like absence seizures or gran mas. Did you lose consciousness? convulsions are panic attacks. Losing consciousness sounds like a seizure.
No headaches. I do take a low dose SSRI. I chose to lower the dose because I wasn't sure if it was contributing to the problem. Not really seeing a difference.
Never lose consciousness. Just always feels like I will. And I've tried to convince myself I won't. Hasn't worked yet.
I've struggled with panic and anxiety for many years. Lightheaded and off balance has been a main issue for me. All test ok other than mineres dieseas with ears. It's hard to function at times cause u fill off center. Hope u get better and best of luck. Anxiety is a horrible thing and this site is awesome to know we aren't alone.
Well as far as anxieties other than OCD, Paxil seems to be the best working one. Generally speaking. You're going to have to hit a theraputic dosage though. Maybe 20mg twice a day. 20 mg won't do it. Possibly not 30 mg. I have to take 40 mg twice a day. I have heard of some having to take 100 mg a day of Paxil. But that's rare. Buspar is something you might want to take a look at too. Fatigue can be combated with Wellbutrin. What's your SSRI and its' dosage?
Sounds like that good 'ol anxiety. Generalized anxiety disorder it sounds like.
