I found this board through a search for dizziness while laying down. I've been reading your threads and honestly I never thought to put my symptoms and menopause or peri together. I'm almost 46, haven't had a period in 6 months, have had Fibromyalgia for 18 years, and have recently started having the added depression for no reason, even worse insomnia, increased pain all over and of course anxiety. Last week I was in a store and leaned over to pick up something and fell to one of my knees. I've never fallen like that in my life. So embarrassing! I believe it's time to make an appointment.
Oui chérie, cela ressemble à la ménopause. Les étourdissements étaient l'un des pires symptômes de la ménopause. Je suis maintenant sous patches d'hormonothérapie substitutive (hrt) et les étourdissements se sont beaucoup calmés x
Hi Sandyla, yes sounds like menopause! I had a fall like you in a supermarket carpark, did i feel embarresed a good few aches the week after aswell, the aches & pains & anxiety plus hot sweats were awful i went on to HRT best thing ever for me. i had to have it changed a couple of times. Now post menopausal but still on HRT, As started my HRT @ 56 Hope this helps ![]()
I have found that often the dizziness is related to ears. There is a video on Youtube called the "Epley Maneuver" that works for 90 percent of this for me. Especially if you get dizzy lying down. It has to do with the crystals in your ears being caught in a place where they shouldn't be. Strange but true, my mother taught me this one ![]()
The other reason I get dizzy at times, is blood sugar levels around certain times of the month. But that is a different kind of dizzy, more of a light headed thing. If you lay down and the room spins, do the Epley thing.
