Does anyone know if Jimjames is still posting about how he was able to rehab his bladder problems using CIC? I recall his bladder function was almost nill due to BPH but aggressive use of CIC rehabed his bladder. Thanks. Howard
I haven’t seen any posts from JimJames since the site relaunched. I’d would also be interested if he does show up one of these days.
I was also a follower of JJ. I did CIC for 8 years after 2018. If I remember Howard, you had a large prostate 300g or more, and I think you were from the Detroit area, like me. I had aquablation done Jan 2026, at Stanford in California. My flow rate is very good now, and no RE. My prostate was 126g which is a little above the limit of 120g for aquablation. Good luck.
Hi Rich, I showed up briefly after the re-launch, didn’t see too many of the gang and just came back again now to check things out.

Hi Rich, Just saw your post. I lost contact after the forum closed down.
Hi Howard, I haven’t been around much since the re-launch but will start posting some now

Hi Jim,
Glad to hear you are still here on this forum. I am still doing CIC after 10 years now with no issues. I use Speedicath Coude tip 14fr catheters. My prostate size is still about 350 cc but over the years it has lengthened to the point that I now use 15 of the 16 inches to enter my bladder. Are you aware of any longer straight catheters with coude tip - say 18 inches? The Flex is not suitable as its active length is only 13 inches. I recall a few years ago there was an 18 inch straight catheter but I cannot find anything on the Internet. I am a bit worried about what happens when I run out of length.
Have you done any interventions other than CIC.
Hope all is well and thanks for getting back to me.
Howard
