Loose soft fluffy stools everyday

I've had stool like this everyday for months now and blood tests are normal. Doctors are incompetent. Please help sad

Looks like chronic diarrhea to me, what is your daily diet? Do you have any other symptoms? How frequent are your bowel movements?

Have you tried increasing your fiber to at least 25-35 grams per day?

I consume a small avocado, blueberries, blackberries, tomatoes, cucumber, eggs in morning, some sort of chicken and potato/rice for dinner and for lunch. Not really any other symptoms other than muscle tenseness in my back, but that's probably unrelated, though I am 27 so anything could be related. My stool is only rarely hard. Often times, the first half of my stool is darker and harder, and then the other half is completely loose.

Try eating at least two bananas per day, as it has a natural probiotic which will help with the digestion of foods, and consume more insoluble fiber such as beans.

As long as you're not experiencing rectal bleeding, intense mucus in the stool or chronic tiredness you should be fine. This seems to be caused by direct more than anything else.

Any updates on this? ive got the exact same thing going on. Been happening for over a month now . my doctor said my symptoms arnt concerning . he gave me acid reducers but they dont seem to be doing anything . im also 27 and seems to have started out of the blue.

I’ve had similar issues for quite a while, along with motility issues and a weak sphincter (Hemorrhoids). It’s a really shitty situation. I’ve lived on Imodium for a long time, although lately they have not been effective. So I have to restrict what I eat, plan my activities around my ass and know where the nearest washroom is located.

My only diagnosed issue is severe Diverticulosis, although it has bothered me to eat for the past three years. My stomach feels like it’s full of glass, my abdomen is distended (I think it’s Aliens) and it even bothers my breathing. I’ve seen somewhere around 18 doctors over the past three years and yes they are quite useless. I’ve had two endoscopes, a colonoscopy and an abdominal MRI that even my doctor admitted was worthless. I recently traveled abroad to get my own MRI done, as my doctor would not order another one. Results are pending.

My doctor recently put me on a strong course of antibiotics in the event that my my Diverticiulosis was causing my issues. I think this may have helped my stools, but not my distention issues, although it’s a little hard to tell, since the antibiotics gave me raging diarrhea. I also started taking Probiotics after the antibiotics, so I think they may be having an impact. I still can’t form a solid stool, but they are better and my motility seams less urgent.

Oddly enough, when I traveled abroad for my MRI, I chose a vacation spot, so I could kill two birds with one stone. After a day or so, I had the first solid stools that I’ve had in a very long time. As far as I can tell, it was the Beer that gave me the solid stools, that and the lack of other liquids, like caffeinated beverages. I think the alcohol dried me out and allowed me to form solid stools. I have Kidney issues, so I think this is leaving too much water in my gut.

I’m going to see if my doctor will write me a script for Beer! It will be worth it, just to see the look on her face.

I’ve had the same thing on and off for months now. Also am 27. Went to the doctors everytime it started happening. Blood and stool tests are fine. They prescribed antibiotics, which I think is when it first started happening. Do you find you have a lot of gas in your stomach sometimes?

It sounds to me like you could possibly have Celiac Disease. I would suggest removing all gluten from your diet and see if that helps. Gluten is more than just wheat it is malt, barley, rye, wheat etc. Perhaps you could research this and speak with your doc about it. Good Luck!

I wonder if someone has an explanation for this problem??? I have a very similar issue at the age of 20. I have one bowel movement a day pretty soon after I wake up, and pretty much every single time except for very rare occasions, it is always loose. When there is a hard piece in there, it is usually as OP described: One end is hard and a bit darker and the rest is mushy. I don’t have any issues with blood in the stool or black stool or anything concerning like that. Color is always normal, but consistency is always loose. On any given day, I also experience bouts of gas and rumbling and churning in my lower abdomen. There is no significant pain or discomfort that accompanies these symptoms. My diet could be better, for sure; less processed foods and more fruits and vegetables. I also don’t eat very much at all in any given day, and my meal timing can be sporadic (anywhere from 2-4 meals a day, usually closer to 2 and usually about 500-700 calories each meal, scattered throughout the day.) Does this sound like IBS or some other chronic condition?

Hi, I am 30 and I have exactly the same issue since I was 27. In the beginning it was not that bad but in the last 6 months it became an every day problem. It is exactly as you describe it, most of the times normal in the beginning and then it becomes mushy. Sometimes out of nowhere I have also pain bloating gas and liquid diarrhea. I made a fool blood test stool check and all checks for alergies in lactose gluten coeliac disease etc all of them were normal. The doctor said it is probably IBS he gave me colofac as medication and changed my diet to low FODMAP but didn’t help. During Christmas I got sick from something else and I had to take antibiotics. that was the only period in my life I had normal stool, so probably antibiotics help on this. the day I finished my antibiotics prescription mushy stool returned back again. I am really confused noone gave me a clear answer on what is this. As a researcher myself I took control of this thing myself I did research in many similar cases and I start to believe this is either linked with stress or it is SIBO. I am not a medical doctor I am just an engineering Dr and researcher.
Do you have any other health issues except from this?

Do you have any abdominal pain / cramping too?

Yes a lot of abdominal pain cramps and gas. My intenstines always make noises like water pipes. It feels so weird.

i had abdominal pain with gas too. Excessive burping and stomach bloating. Sometimes I feel like my stomach is going to explode. By water pipes, do you mean like a leak? Cause I have that. I’ve been fine for some time now. Do you guys happen to take protein shake on a regular basis?

No I am not taking any protein supplement. the noise like pipes is like you hear noise like liquid in your gut. you hear the liquid stools moving in the intestines.
I found big difference in antibiotics. it helps so much. I believe it is

Any history of anxiety or related issues?

Unfortunately, yes a lot of stress.

hi I’m on this website hoping to find some answers. I had blood in my stool freaked and went to the doctor right away. unfortunately because of this whole covid 19 thing happing they couldn’t get me to see a specialist that could check me right away until this whole thing blows over. I had two stools mixed with blood. then didn’t bleed anymore. I was very constipated and bloated, been trying to eat more fiber and drink more water. my left side has slight pain and sometimes right plus abdominal. my stomach has the bubbles and makes funny noises. hard to sleep due to the discomfort sometimes. after those 2 stools mixed with blood I went to constipation then diarrhea , then very broken down soft stool to almost normal. how concerned should i be? I still feel pain and some constipation not as bad as it was at first.
