Hi, I have been taking Losartan 50 mg for 4 weeks, I was previously on Amlodipine , but had to come off it due to swollen ankles. The past couple of days I have started to get a sort of prickly itchy feeling all over my body, but no rash. I also feel a bit "down" and I'm not sleeping too well either. Could this be the Losartan? Can it take a few weeks for the side effects to show up?
Hi there I had similar when i was prescribed Losartan so came off it. I too felt very down, anxious and it didnt control my BP. It also gave me very sore scratchy eyes. I’ve tried numerous one’s since and seem to be coping quite well on Felodipine which is interesting as I couldnt tolerate Amlodipine at all in fact it was the worst for me! I’d try asking for something else good luck and keep me posted!

I do not think the drug Losartan effects sleep, not alot of drugs do, well apart from the mental health drugs. Its possible that it effects blood flow and heart rate though. It sounds like you have another issue that needs to be addressed. Keep an eye out, and tell your doctor if problems persist more than 2 weeks.
