Verlieren Sie die Angst vor Symptomen: Lohnt sich zu lesen

Hi guys,

I would just like to share some info with you that I have come across. I have been dizzy for 2 years now although have greatly improved during this time and have been researching/reading a lot. I figured since the docs had no idea why it was for the best to look for some answers.

i used to frequent these boards a lot but have not for the past year as their tends to be not enough success and the majority of us is going round in circles back and forward to their docs.

I think Anxiety plays a huge role in this condition and our nervous system is just hyper vigilant and need calmed down. The fear of your condition is keeping the symptoms alive. I have attached a good document below and it's good to spproach it with an open mind.

No worries guys and it would be good to get a discussion going with this. I'm no expert by any means.

A little bit about me. I was first diagnosed with Labrinthitis by my GP and then seen a private ENT a couple of months later who diagnosed me with a Vestibualr Dysfunction. I was referred to balance testing where nothing wrong/abnormal was found. I was prescribed V.R.T which preformed religiously for 6 months. I carried the same balance test a year later where again, nothing was found.

im at a stage now where although I have improved a lot over the 2 years since my first 'room spinning' vertigo attack. There are still some constant residual dizzy symptoms that I can't shake off as well as all the other 'crazy' symptoms that chronic vertigo brings.

Thank you so much for sending the link.  Greatly appreciated. 😊Xx

Can you send me the link? Thanks a million.

Send me link please thank you

Könnten Sie mir bitte den Link schicken? Ich wäre Ihnen sehr dankbar.

Could i get the info I'm private message as well? Thank you

My symptoms started gradually. I had panic attack for the 1st time in my life and something just felt off after that. I proceeded to have 2 more over the next couple of weeks and would notice that there was just something not quite right with my vision. I then had my 1st Vertigo attack. I then proceeded to get random dizzy spells out the blue. These would stop me in my tracks and make me sit down for 20 mins or so until in passed. I was starting to worry.

it was after the 2nd vertigo attack maybe a week or 2 later that was quite scary and have never fully gotten over it as that is when the chronic dizziness started. I'm sure you can all relate where you panic and think "OMG I'm dying of something serious" "somethings wrong with my brain" etc etc. It was not just dizziness but huge headaches, sensitivity to light/sound, tinnitus, full ears, wobbly, legs, tingling in random parts of the body, Brain Zaps, muscle pain in neck, shoulders, back, buttocks and legs etc etc. HUGE Anxiety to go along with these symptoms also.

At the time I thought I had something broken/damaged in my vestibular system and thought all these symptoms were a symptom of the Vertigo/dizziness or Vestibular dysfunction.

I remember when I frequented these boards for a year I would year things like " I have also a 100 other symptoms wrong with me"

year *hear

My god Sonic I could have written that!!😲

Yeah that's what I couldn't understand with this condition. All these symptoms pop up after the Vertigo/dizziness started. Seems to be a theme on these boards and have just had a quick skim through. Everyone worried about their health and have no answers.

You know way back in the 60's there was a doctor who written about nervous illness and it definitely can be attributed to many of us on here. When I came across it a year ago, I disregarded it and thought no chance could this be me.

It took a whole load of blood tests and an MRI of the head which thankfully came back clear which got me thinking of the anxiety/psychosomatic route.

This is where you need an open mind as acceptance that this is what is wron is the 1st step to recovery.

Hi Sonic. Klingt genau wie ich!!! Kannst du mir bitte den Link schicken. Danke Lily xx

The article is about a condition termed Psycho-Physiological Dizziness. What I like about this article is the explanation about how these crazy symptoms can be "psychosomatic" in nature.

There seems to be a misconception of that word on these boards and people assume a Dr is accusing you being 'crazy' and the symptoms are all in your mind. That's not the case as the symptoms are very real, it's just that your mind/brain is most likely causing them.

Hi there can you share the link with me please. I too dealing with lightheaded and unbalance and in search of answers . Doctors don't seem to find anyyhing

Thank you by the way
