What are the first warning signs or losing your ability to walk
Hi haven't lost the ability to walk yet but I am struggling, and the more I do the worse it gets.
I really couldn't tell you how it started, it just did. One day I was a fit person running around like a nutter and the next I noticed stiffness and pain. If I do a lot, I lose the ability to put weight on my left leg and my right leg hurts. Shooting pain in my bones.
Heavy feeling and pins and needles. Some days are worse than others.
I can walk for about 15 mins before the pain kicks in, sometimes it doesn't even kick in at all until the evening. But it seems to be when that happens. It's worse than normal.
Yesterday I felt fine all day, was so busy I didn't have time to sit down, literally, from 7am till 8pm. At 8:30 I got up to go to the loo and bam....left leg gone, pelvis felt like it was going to crack into a million pieces and pain in both legs. Today I'm stiff and sore.
It's a gradual process and I'm scared I'll wake up one day with no use of my legs at all.
Some days I think I'm going nuts cause I'm ok and it's hard to believe I have a wheelchair sat in my cupboard
Slightly similar to mine what happens to me if both of my legs are really weak and walking for more than 5 minutes I start to stumble and start to lose balance and not able to walk properly at all
I'm more of an old lady shuffler lol.
It amazes me how I can be practical unable to walk at all in the evenings yet ok during the day. It makes me wonder what's going on and if it's all in my head
