Since I was diagnosed of TA I was told by my Reumatologist I would loose my vision due to the schemia of the optic nerve.
Going on with my unfinished post of 2 days ago, I would like to add something else.
Inspite of the prognosis given to me by my rheumy I am glad and thankful for being able to keep seeing - no double, no blurred viison..
Everytime I go to my appointment I notice he looks at me as I had two heads, because he was not expecting I would be there by now...
Last time I saw him he told me the reason for my good outcome is my positive attitude.
More likely it makes all the difference
I see myself through my mind's eyes : whole, perfect, happy, harmonius.
The picture i visualize of myself and keep vivid in front of me is the picture of what I want to happen, never of the outcome I do not want, or fear.
On top of that I give many thanks for such a gift.
Is there someone with schemia of the optic nerve?
It would be great to have the opportunity to ex-change our experiences!

I think it is always possible to effect outcomes with either a positive or negative attitude! Realize also that whilte doctors are "experts" they will tell you they don't know much about what makes the body work or not work. They just know how to alter outcomes. Often things happen that are unexplainable and that is why medicine is an imperfect science. Congratulations on your positive results! I know you will continue to have them. Best of luck to you.
