I had bloods taken a couple of weeks ago and received a call from my gp surgery to see my doctor. I was told my B12 was 97 which is low and I am due to receive B12 injections. I'm not too sure what has caused it but I haven't been feeling right for the past couple of months ie constantly tired depression worsening.Has anyone else experienced this.
I m have PA, started my load up dosed last July. Now have every three months for life with folic acid. My symptoms were fatigue, I also have depression and anxiety, so can sympathise with you.
Symptoms are brittle nails, brain fog, cracks at corners of mouth, hair loss, brittle hair, cold hands and feet, and tingle in fingers and feet.
There's a site on Facebook I joined which is so helpful called Pernicious Anaemia/B12 deficiency support group. Hope this helps

Hi Sharon, yes I think the symptoms you describe are very typical. I have been on injections for two years now, and recently persuaded my GP to trial me on more frequent injections. I was finding my symptoms returning long before my three monthly top up jab. Have a look at the Pernicious Anaemia Society website, there is some good information available. Also, read any of the books by Martyn Hooper, or Could it be B12? By Sally Pacholok. Best wishes Marion
