hi I take 1000 iu everyday then 50 000iu D3 once a week, I have to do this for three months get another blood test after that and have another visit with my specialist on 16 February, so I can let you know how that goes. They did a sestimibi scan said the parathyroid tumour is too small to remove
thanks for that, will have a look for sure
hi peggy are you in the UK? have you seen this site
Hi I'm actually in Australia
Hi a few years ago i was diagnosed with vitamin d deficency and slightly raised blood calcium. I was given high dose vitamin d and had to have regular blood tests to see if calcium rose more, which it did not. I stopped taking the vitamin d as i was suffering bad acid and indigestion which i felt the vitamin d made worse. I really do need to try again as i have such awful pains in muscles, joints and bones.
I would get your PTH level checked - privately if necessary. Alan.
There is vitamin D spray which you take under the tongue, that should not give you any indigestion. If you need to supplement with vitamin D you should as it has many functions. I have used a spray which delivers 3000 iu.
