So I used to do a lot of sports and that also makes my blood pressure a bit lower then average when I rest. My doctors said that this is all fine, healthy and not really dangerous.
But what I noticed is that during my panic attacks my blood pressure starts to drop even more and then I get in this cycle where I look at my blood pressure and I get even more anxious. I measure again and it gets even lower. I get scared to death and feel like im going to faint. Before I didn't measure my pressure during my panic attacks but lately I was interested to see what is happening with my pressure during attacks. When I kinda calm myself down my blood pressure rises again a little bit.
I thought it was interesting since most people get high blood pressure. I read about this a little bit and I heard that in fact it can happen. Anybody else with this ? Any ideas on whether that is alright ?
Helo Happyguy, I have low Bp too, mostly 10/62 or 92/47, very low. having constant dizziness and yes i do have panic attacks. But I have not really found out if there is a link. I will try to monitor as from today
Low blood pressure is only of concern if you are seriously injured and bleeding.
And if you're in hospital with something else serious.
In a healthy person like yourself, low blood pressure is normal. Mine's always been low. It's never bothered me.
What IS bothering me is that you keep taking yours! Whatever for? And I see with alarm that Rachna is planning to monitor hers from today. Nobody needs to check their blood pressure all the time, unless your doctor has told you to, for a specific medical reason. Obsessively checking it is just a waste of time!
But possibly that explains to Happyguy that it's only necessary when a doctor tells you to.
HAPPYDAYS!! I'm sorry you're still feeling so anxious. Stick with us and post again soon to tell us how you are, so that we can support you. I hope you weren't offended by my first message.
All the best to Rachna and Happyguy from Tess xxxxxxxx
Yeah I also have it about 105/60 normally, but when I get anxious the second number goes towards 50. Tell me if you notice anything Also thanks for the reply
Oh. Well, I'm a nurse and it doesn't matter what the bottom reading is as long as the top reading is over 100. Just ignore it, ok? If you were getting top readings of 80, for example, I'd be telling you to call an ambulance.
Now don't keep taking it just to check that the top reading is over 100, Happyguy.
Mine said same also. do you have a fast heart rate? mine are above 100 somtimes reaches to 120 beats . Have been given beta blocker since 3 days. am kinda ok, but the dizziness still there a little. Do you have ear problems?
First thing I would say is stop checking your blood pressure all the time. Most people's will fluctuate without them being aware, and it lowering during panic isnt surprising. Deal with your anxiety,if your bp is an issue, your body will let you know without you checking
Thanks ! Well it bothered me a little bit because I constantly feel light headed and oftenly feel like im going to faint but my doctors said it is most probably my anxiety and that im safe. They also gave me green light to do sports and go on a vacation, but it is kinda scary/crazy thing to do that when you feel dizzy. I tried sports many times and it went pretty good. Still not a pleasant thing to do. I also spotted that my level of anxiety can influence my dizziness (most of the time it is always there but it usually gets worse when I get very anxious). I hope I can get off this dizziness as soon as possible and enjoy life again
Well I haven't monitored my heart a lot. I've tested myself last two day a little bit. My heart rate was not too high. I think it was towards 90 but I dont remember. But i had worse panic attacks where im pretty sure it was more than 100 for sure.
Im just really scared because of my dizziness. Even if i get a bit better my dizziness is always there Idk how to not be anxious when you feel "high" in a bad way all the time.
I do not have ear problems. My docs checked almost every part of my body actually.
I really hope it is just anxiety.
I also wish you all the best to you too. Anxiety can really be a living hell.
