I have just had a macular hole operation. I didn't have the gas in my eye, but had oil instead. Had the oil removed 4 days ago and my vision is awful. Hopefully it will improve dramatically in the near future. I have had two ops. One with gas and the second with oil. If you have the choice, go for the gas. Inconvenience of posturing is much better than having an extra op. To remove the oil.
Hope you recover well. Is this treatment for macular degeneration I wonder.
My Dad has eye issues and I am researching for him.

No Sue, I think it is only for macular hole. I went to see the specialist yesterday and it would appear that I am just being impatient????? Surely not. All good though and on the mend. Thanks for the good wishes.

I wanted to know how your vision is now after 8 months? Did it take time for your vision to improve
